Spokane IFL team

The Spokane Indoor Football League Team is an expansion franchise in the Indoor Football League based in Spokane, Washington. They are owned by Spokane businessman Nader Naini and will begin play in 2016 at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. The team was originally going to be called the Spokane Shock as that franchise left the Arena Football League on September 1, 2015, for the IFL. However, on October 12, 2015, the AFL released a statement saying that the franchise and the AFL could not come to terms over the purchase and use of the Shock identity (name, logos, colors, etc.) and that the AFL has retained the rights to the identity. 〔(AFL Issues Statement on Spokane Shock ), ArenaFootball.com, October 12, 2015〕
A "name the team" contest is underway. Fans can not only submit name ideas, but logo suggestions as well. A legal staff will help narrow the options based on trademark availability and copyrights.
